Episode 19 – Life as an Experiment

Rachel Schrank, Creative in Transition, invites us into the world of a Harvard-educated Wedding Photographer who is now heeding her soul’s call for expression as a teacher and performance artist.

What would you try if you accepted the notion that failure was highly likely? What might happen if you started and have no idea how to finish? Today’s guest, Rachel Schrank, an insatiably curious creative, answers those questions–and more, declaring with delight, “I’m going to warn you, I ramble!” as we begin.

After 20 years of work in digital arts, Rachel describes how she followed a feeling that called her to sign up for a singing lesson. You’ll delight in her story about her first stage performance, the talk she had with herself about taking on the challenge, just how high she set the bar, and the whole world that opened up when she did! “I feel more ME!” she exclaims.

She shares the core skill we all need to develop, and it isn’t knowing your path. Don’t miss her “Real Talk” at the 28-minute mark, her demonstration of Eurythmy as a daily performing arts practice between 30 – 35 mins in, and her project management calendar tips at the 60-minute mark.

Wondering how she keeps everything in perspective as she moves through life? Don’t miss a minute of this enlightening conversation.

Episode 11 – Recollect Better – Curiosity Creates a Feed for Feels

What would the world be like if millions of humans could be supported by technology to consciously choose a life of love rather than fear? Artist, Coach & Strategist, Amy Jones, is obsessed with creating this solution. Insatiably curious about the intersection of technology and humanity – where humanity is irreplaceable by technology and where technology can enhance humanity –  Amy shares “If I were any more obsessed with this project, it would be unhealthy!”

Listen as she shares how the past three years have set her on this course and how she mustered the courage to be an artist after a 20-year hiatus, beginning her entrepreneurial journey. If you’re a recovering perfectionist, you’ll enjoy Amy’s story of the night she created her Progress Maps and how she manages to outwit her “Clever Brain.”

A prolific creator, Amy shares how her experience as a teacher and a coach fueled her frustration with what she calls “one-way conversations” in social media and the limits of individual coaching sessions.

Seeing the opportunity in today’s technology to create something that could help many more people remember who they are, connect to what is true, and consciously make choices from love, she envisioned an app-based solution she now calls Recollect. Be sure to listen through to the end to enjoy the celebration of this first public invitation to join Amy in her vision.

Are you an early adopter and embracer of collective, collaborative projects ready to be a Founding Member? Or, always wanted to be an app beta tester? Here’s your chance!
